Buying Props

Post by bpac »

I need to buy a new prop for my ski boat. Is there anywhere that yall like to buy from? I have found a few on ebay I like but may end up paying a premium from overton's for free shipping and easy return policy.

Thanks

Bass Boat Central is good for used, but there is a prop shop in Dothan that is good too.

BOATS.NET or iboat if you cannot find local are good sources.

I have two Mercury Enterias SS to sell. One is a 19p and the other a 15p. I went through three trying to find the right side for my boat.

I called powertech, told them my boat, engine, weight I would be carrying and so forth. In about 2 seconds the guy told me the exact prop I needed. AND they offer you 30 days to return it if you don't like it. The prop they sent me is PERFECT!

X3 on Powertech Props. Marcus is very, very good when it comes to helping pick out the right prop. If you are in Tally, then get the model that you want to try and call the boat place in Perry and they can order it for you. It will be less to get it at an authorized dealer than straight from the PT website.

I was in the same predicament a few weeks ago. I scoured the net looking for a stiletto for my Johnson 115 and found a few places that carried and could ship, iboats.com, overtons, gander mountain. Parkway Marine beat them all on price and delivery speed. Saved at least $30 after taxes over the next closest offering. Call around to the local shops, you may be surprised.
