Block Ice is now available in Tallahassee

Post by spotremover »

Big Easy Snowballs (the shaved ice shop on Lake Ella) just got a new block ice maker and they now make a TON of block ice. The blocks are about 12-15lbs and they will last in a cooler over 24 hours. They work way, way better than cube ice and last a WHOLE LOT LONGER! $2 per block. Many fishermen in Perry use block ice because they have a good source for it. Now we do too! Big Easy Snowballs, 1621 N Monroe St (on Lake Ella). (850)329-6010

Never have used block ice in the cooler on the boat. I am worried about a 12 pound hammer beating up my fish and cooler in rough chop...

Would be fine in the cooler at home.

Curious if anyone out there ever had an issue with it?
