Well don't they suck! George and I have been fishing the east coast in tournaments and they have nicer ramps and ZERO launch fees. But I must say I still like our fishery better!!

Think the fee came from complaints from "presnells" hurting business - you can launch under the bridge or put in at white city for free

Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of catching enormous fish on PREFISH day instead of tournament day....I hereby resolve to drink rum and smoke cigars on practice day and save my fishing luck for the tournaments.

It was a tough day of fishing all around. From memory - Bob got first place, Chuck and Jeff, got big trout and perhaps second place, Jumptrout and I got the Kevin's flounder prize and the total combined weight sidepot. Not sure about the rest, but maybe others will chime in.

One more little tidbit - I think the $10 ramp fee mentioned above only applies to folks from out of town. Sort of makes a person feel unwelcomed when you are over there spending money on motels, restaurants, fuel, bait, etc....

I didn't notice it on tourney day, but on Sunday @ the city ramp I noticed a LifeVest-Share program setup by SeaTow there.

I thought that was incredibly awesome! And Steve... I had the Rum/Cigar part down all weekend, should've saved my money on the fishing part

yea, interested in the final weights. we had to take Matt's boys to the marina for food before prizes; people were getting hangry.

We screwed up our winning streak in PSJ. Matt lost a ~24" trout boatside and I screwed up our weigh-in with more than one fish over 20". 3 fish a 7.3 and we could of put up 2 more 2# fish if I wasn't a dumb ace....

Congrats to all the winners!

Not sure how enforceable a ramp fee of that nature would be. I have Tally license plates but could easily claim ownership of a parcel(s) on CSB. I'd be less than happy if ticketed.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

I got spanked. Fished it first time ever on Friday. Only got 3 keepers, but saw a gator trout AND an upper slot red cruising a shoreline on SW side. Went back on tourney day and got mostly a whole lotta nothing. VERY tough paddling a kayak in all that wind.

Congrats to all the winners...the other Gary scored big red this time!

Wish I would have seen the comments about the ramp fee earlier. FYI, there is no official ordinance in place with the city that says you have to pay the fee. Every other boat public boat ramp in the county is free as they should be since our tax dollars are used to maintain them. For us local residents, we don't think we should have to pay a fee to launch our boats since we already pay taxes, and we also don't think visitors should have to pay either since they are spending money in the town other ways. Bottom line, you cannot be fined or harassed by anyone for not paying the fee at this time, so don't pay!

Congrats to all the winners, I saw all of you on my holes on Saturday!!!!!

I almost finsihed the website before having to leave for work. I did get the home page updated with the winners, who were Jeff & Chuck. Here is what I remember...

1st - Jeff & Chuck 11+lbs
2nd - Bob Hoelzle & Tom Wages 10+ls
3rd - Steve & Tina Wharton & Russell Haas 9+lbs

Big Trout - Chuck 5.84 lbs
Big Red - Gary Zellner 4.5 lbs
Spotted red - Gary Zellner 5 spots
Flounder - Steve Stinson 1.4 lbs
Mystery fish - well, still a mystery
