Had my offer accepted today for a renovated late 60's era all brick in-town home in Tallahassee, near TMH hospital. Need a recommendation for a home inspector that will do it right; not just point out the obvious.

Can't help you with the inspector but while you are getting the inspection done make it a part of the deal to to provide a 4 Point insurance inspection as part of the deal you'll probably need it with just about any HO company with a house of that era.

I had Raney Oven do my house. He is very experienced and I would give him my highest recommendation.

I recommend Raney,
Steve Abernathy with http://legacyhomeinspection.com/
Or
Mike Flemming http://www.certifiedtlh.com/certifiedtl ... orida.html
They refer to each other and are known as "deal killers" - That is a compliment in my book.
They have saved clients from making some big mistakes.

Steve Abernathy was very patient with me and put up with me tagging along with him as much as I could and asking questions and getting him to explain things to me. Didn't treat me like "a girl" who didn't need to know any better. Which I appreciated (have had those issues with other home specialists and it pisses me off).
