Surf Fishing Report- CSB and SGI

Fished Cape San Blas on Saturday:
Heavy winds out of the west pushed in much larger than normal surf, almost impossible to wade further than waist deep, as the next wave would cover you.
Water visibility was less than 1'
Tried a variety of jigs, spoons, and bait. Caught nothing but catfish on bait.
Fished SGI today, the surf was calmer, as winds were still from the west, but strong current pulled everything east.
Water visibility still less than 1'
Fished through the tackle box again, and had a swipe at a paddle tail, but nothing else.
Bait worked again only for cats. Caught a very small one, and put him out on a #6 hook, hoping for a shark, and even that didn't.
Still better than sitting on the beach and not fishing....
