Found the fish today

Launched from Shell Point at first light with my buddy Sam and another friend, a first timer on the boat. Stopped on the bar south of Shell Point to pick up some pinfish, and the mackeral were busting it up. Caught 'em on spoons, jigs, cut bait, whatever got close enough. Also caught my smallest trout ever -- 5 inches! (sent him home to grow up).
Headed out to Rotary reef, anchored up, and caught more flounder than I've ever caught in one place. White bucktail jigs tipped with a live shrimp or a white gulp, bounced slowly across the bottom did the trick. They were a bit off to one side of the boat. Other side of the boat was all about white grunt. Random mackeral came thru pretty frequently as well.
Caught one undersize red grouper as well, and had a few big somethings take our pinfish into the rocks, so can't tell you what those were.
The old Wahoo and almost-as-old Yamaha ran well, which I never take for granted.
All in all a beautiful day on the water.
