St Marks 10/06

We were on the water at day break. Found us a little spot a few miles past the bird rack, put the trolling motor on anchor lock and started fishing. We caught a handful of fish before the wife that was on the front of the boat yelled, as I looked in her direction I seen the trolling motor go overboard and into the water. I caught the motor by the plug in power cord and was able to fish it out of the water. Needless to say the motor that has been used twice is shot.
Gathered our thoughts and headed to the western flats picking up a couple of nice Spanish and a few keeper trout. We did get a few sand trout as well.
Finished the day at another spot a few miles past the bird rack on anchor. We picked up several sea bass, grouper (none big enough), Spanish and a few cats.
