Went out of St. Marks today. Trout were thick in the river. Caught some redfish but they were smaller. There were lots of boats in the river so its no secret but the oyster bars produced on a moving tide.

Caught most fish on shrimp and some on the fly rod.

Thanks for the report, we canceled our plans because of hi wind predictions. Guessing it wasn’t bad if you were able to use the buggy whip

Wind wasn't too bad but the fog was dense.

The fog was crazy out there at noon.

The fog WAS terrible. We had a too-close-for-comfort-call with a Pathfinder 2600HPS, as they were running south in the channel at high speed.

It finally lifted around 2pm.

We got skunked, tried a few oyster bars with shrimp under corks, on the bottom, and spoons and paddletails. Tried near the rivermouth, and back near the fort.

I think we missed the tide window, or I'm a terrible fisherman.

I had to use a compass just to get back to the lighthouse - I was going to cross over to Big Pass in the kayak but the fog was too thick. It's amazing how quick you can get turned around; at one point I thought I was paddling NW but I looked at the compass and I was going South. I packed it in and headed back. The East River was clear but I didn't catch anything.
