Ran out of Lanark yesterday morning. Little breezy but water was clear and 61+ degrees by late afternoon. Sure it jumped up with today's heat wave.
Caught a dozen reds, mostly rats but they fought hard and all had those beautiful iridescent blue tails. Biggest was 23 inches on black/silver Skitter Walk. Others were fooled by crabby jig and new DOA mocha latte shad tail with 1/8-oz. chartreuse jig head. All the reds were in two foot of water or less. Saw a few nice trout--hauling butt away from the boat. No sheepies, but tons of mullet of all sizes.
