St Marks 3-24 - Apalachee Bay

We normally keep our boat at the Fish Camp, but we launched from the Fort today for various reasons, and headed out to the West Flats around noon.
Water temps seemed to be around 65f to 66 during the afternoon, with visibility good to 4'. Despite the steady south wind, inshore was pretty nice, although we did drop anchor a few times to focus on an area.
We fished for about 4 hours, and caught somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 trout, but only 6 keepers.
Also picked up a small flounder and ladyfish.
Almost all were caught on shrimp or gulps under popping corks, a few others on paddletails or gulps bumped along the bottom.
Lots and lots of bait swimming around with some birds diving on them, but the fish did not seem to be chasing them. I threw 2 different size spoons hoping for trout or spanish, but no luck at all.
A beautiful day to be on the water, and a good dinner.
