Thinking of making a trip out to Crab Island in Destin this summer. Wanting to know any experiences y’all have had out there. Good places to launch from. Whether it’s worth launching near the island or out of Niceville since I’ll be coming from Tallahassee. Things to watch out for while out there and whatnot. I’ve read up some info on TripAdvisor, but wanting some from y’all as well. Still new to the whole boating world so I still have a bunch to learn. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I've been there a few times with the family and just watch out for those you choose to anchor near if you have kids. It can get pretty ugly. I launched closer to Ft Walton.
