I just want to report some conditions based on a recent trip. I was on the water at 830 and off at 10:30. I just couldn't stand the heat.

About 2-3 miles east and 2-3 miles south of the lighthouse the water turned clear.. like wakulla river gin clear.

Water temp was about 86-88 and they seem to be in about 4-7' of water. I caught a keeper or two with a constant 1hr bite(couple sharks, lots of shorts). The thought of filleting fish in the midday sun prompted me to toss em back.

They didn't want to come to the surface to feed so I caught them on a popping cork with about 3-4' of leader. I was being lazy and didn't use anything other than gulp under a cork.
