Spring Creek 12/22 (*Addendum Report filed)

Post by mjsigns »

The plan was to get some fresh or frozen shrimp for bait but of course Jerrys’ was closed so I had to depend on artificials. My intention was to simply explore the Spring Creek area and give this winter Trout fishing a try. I’ve never caught Trout in the winter, although I have tried many times. The spring creek area is recessed from the coast and is shielded from the winds and waves of the other coastal areas many of us fish.

Nice report and photographs.
You had to do a little work, but it certainly paid off.

Ambushing them on the runoffs, reminded me of catching redfish in the ICW behind Jacksonville.

Out of all the times I have been out, I never expected to see him in December, and especially not in Spring Creek. He must have gotten word of Litorals report, and decided he better get down there for the rush. Forgot to add..... A few "keepers" slipped off the hook at the side of the boat. And just like TC, "I forgot to bring the landing net"...
