A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Guys- Saw some dudes putting in one of those self-serve Quick Ice trailers on Apalach Parkway today on the East side of town about half way between the light at CCSE and the Walmart. It was on the North side of the road. Its a little West of that coin operated car wash.
They had these trailers in Texas when I lived there and the ice was cheap (came in bigger bags), convenient and available 24 hours.
The one I saw today was the first I think I have seen in Tallahassee. Just an FYI. There is one on St. George Island. The only other one I know of is in Camilla.
They seem like they would be PERFECT for boaters who were leaving to go fish early in the AM and didn't want to get in a gas station parking lot with their trailers behind them.
The one time we used the one in Perry, IT SUCKED the ice it put out was not the amount advertised

we saw one down next to the pawn shop in the shopping center that sits between S. Monroe and S. Adams.. might be more convenient for some headed south.. just keep your .45 handy
There's still one in Camilla. It moved to the building behind where it was previously located. You can still see it from 19. We have about 4 in Albany. They are all over the place now.

21 words into that post I was already thinking about my .45. "Adams" was what really did it for me.
I'm a city boy at heart so its a 9mm when you are talkin' Atticus rollin with the steel.
It's still $1 for 20lbs of loose ice in Moultrie....but that's right across the street where ther're made. Works great...and a bargin.
I've seen it in Thomasville for $1.25...yesterday.
Beats the heck out of 8lbs in a Zippy Mart for the same price..
