Firing Range Concerns?

So I visited the public firing range in the forest for the first time yesterday to sight in a scope... It ended up being fairly crowded, and I was very surprised by the disregard for the posted rules. There were shotguns, rapid fire, etc. Worst of all, it seems like the general public doesn't adhere...

Sorry, couldn't resist. Always looking for an excuse to share the wisdom of the fine Rep. Corrine Brown. :-D :smt005 This video is always worth a grin and a smile so long as you can accept these two following truths: 1. Regardless of what any of us country boys west of Columbia county has to say ab...

Re: Urban Meyer steps down as Gators Head Coach

Who cares? ...I don't know, it's been the lead story for every news outlet around here since it broke, and it seems to have kept my cell phone pretty busy this evening with "well wishers" for Gator Nation. It got more immediate media attention than when Bobby was eased out. But, like you ...

Re: Wacissa River water going to Nestle?

The coca cola spring water plant in gilchrist county that pumps out of ginnie springs is almost out of business. I wonder why nestle thinks they can make more money? Maybe they should take over the gilchrist plant since it has a permit and coke doesn't want it anymore.

Re: How Embarrassing

When I was a teenager, I did not have first rate help in any sort of mechanical instruction (not that I would have paid attention anyways). So, one time I put the lugs on backwards after changing a tire. Later that night, about 100 miles later while I was headed eastbound, I watched as this awesome ...

I have started taking my daughter and a few others out for kneeboarding and other tow sports on a certain body of water in the tallahassee vicinity. This certain body of water has lots of vegetation, and to get to the open spots you have to navigate through channels running through this vegetation. ...

Dolphinatic, That same quote referenced on your post card was used in the movie Saving Private Ryan . Havre Presnell, who played GEN George C. Marshall (Army Chief of Staff, who was coincidentally from Pennsylvania), used the quote as a motivation for the War Department's mission to find PVT Ryan. W...

You know what rednecks and Muslims have in common?

They each have small segments of their own populations consisting of extremist wackos that ruin the heritage and identity of the whole group.

RHTFISH: No, my Obama sign is stored now. I look at it from time to time as sort of a novelty. I often wonder if I'd vote the same way if I had it to do it again. :smt017 Now, he did come really close to my ACORN sign. So, I live in residential Tallahassee. Just so happens, I have grown the most lush lawn that I have ever grown. I am all of 32 years old. My neighbor has been a widow for roughly 8 months. Her son-in-law was over for the weekend and decided to do her a favor by mowing her lawn. I have thick St. Augu...

Assuming this was in fact a suicide and not a homicide.... Of course the spill is a factor. Was it the only factor? No, or everyone else involved would be doing this, too. Will he be the last person associated with the oil spill to kill himself... Nope. It covers too broad of a geographic area, and ...
