Wa aint the phish biton this week?
I have been fishing 2 or 3 times a week for the past month in the same area (Alligator Harbor) and the last week the bite has been way off for me. Is it me, the moon, weak tide, too much bait, moon phase, not enough wind, elneneo (sp?). I enjoy going out even when I dont catch many but am curious if...

Yak Fishing St Theresa tomorrow morning at 6:15
Ron and I will be fishing Aligator harbor tomorrow morning. We will put in at the sand ramp and paddle across to the Aligator Point. We will catch lady fish for a litlle while then use them to introduce Ron to getting towed by a shark. Once we get that out of his system, we will look for Tarpon. I h...

You wont believe the size of the shark I caught in the kayak
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h94/abcarias/recordsharkfromkayak.jpg Actually I did hang some large ones on half lady fish that I caught early in the morning as the birds, ladies and blues feasted on bait fish in the shallows. I caught several blues and ladies on fly as I paddled up to the blitz...

Red or Tarpon fishing alone? Ill buy the gas and soda pop!!
I dont have a boat but would love to go red or Tarpon fishing. If you happen to have room for two, let me know. I am a pretty good fisherman and know St Marks quit well for reds. I also have a 12wt for tarpon. I can fish most days as I am teacher and am off for the rest of the summer. Sometimes I mi...

Will trade 2 man fishing yak for a single fishing yak
Kayak has a foot contol rudder system and is in good shape. Can call 878-2866 for more information.
*** Also willing to buy a used single fishing kayak such as a Pungo, Tarpon, etc. that paddles well and is stable.

I sent you a pm
It was like glass first thing this morning. Perfect for throwing flies. Once the wind kicked up I had a hard time fishing. Didnt really get to explore the island much (too windy by then). Checked out the bridge as a launch and it should be fine. If we put out baits, I can guarantee you the cats and ...

Fished Aligator harbor this morning (Friday June 16)
Hung out with the pelicans crashing bait and caught Spanish, lady fish, cats, and sharks from the yak early this morning. Saw no Tarpon. I did paddle from landing near St Theresa to the point across the harbor and saw a couple flats/fly-fishing boats anchored up waiting for poons to come by. Saw no ...

I may join you guys unless....
......my bulky 12 foot sit inside just cant keep up. I heard that you can cut a lot off that paddle to SB by cutting across the pond. Have you tried that? Will you be staying out all day? Just curious. Thanks for the suggetions. I need a new/another yak. By the way I hooked a Tarpon at Palmetto Isla...

Will you paddle from the light House of cut through the pond
How far of a paddle is that, 3 or 4 miles? My boat doesnt paddle very fast (2 person perception backcountry, plastic). I need a better fishing yak. What do you paddle/recommend? Can you stand up in your boat? I know, too many questions. I just dont think Im ready to get back into a flats boat yet.

You have a very nice shop and great staff!
My bad. I really like your shop and your willingness to share information. Sorry for not thinking about that. You have always been very helpful! We need to support our local vendors. Very nice shop!! I missed your Kayak demo at Maclay last Sunday because I wanted to meet the Tarpon kayakers down at ...

Anybody want to paddle after Tarpon Friday morning early?
I am thinking about going down to Lanark Friday morning. I heard last night that they are here! I will fish until 11:00 or so (unless they are really biting of course).

Kayak fishing (For tarpon) DVD or video
I bought the Tarpon fishing DVD and it is exciting if you haven't seen it. I am wondering if there is anyone out there with other Kayak fishing DVDs or videos that would want to share what they have in exchange for seeing the Tarpon DVD? I wouldn't want to pay another $30.00 for a DVD but it would b...
