Hooked three tarpon today
One fought for 5 minutes and jumped off yak side as I was reaching for my boga grip - the other two were 5 seconds and gone. Still......a wonderfull and unique morning!

Flailling lady fish
I try to always use a single hook with no barb when catching lady fish (great bait) because they are so high strung. I have a bag that I drop them into to calm them down before taking the hook out. I also use a boga grip to hold them while removing the hook. I have had many close calls removing treb...

You dont need a yak

I caught this one yesterday. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h94/abcarias/breamwithflyrod.jpg Believe it or not, we try not to catch bream because the rainbows fight much harder. http://i62.photo...

ya gotta.........................

I actually prefer catching the 3 -5 pounders. They fight harder then the big ones often jumping and running hard. Bigger flies usually catch b...

rainbow trout on a fly in Tallahassee
I went to Dr. Allees pond (on a plantation out Meridian rd) today to catch rainbow trout on a fly. I think I got 8 total. They really fight hard. The pond is open to fly fishing only and no barbs. You can take one fish home. They ask that you call before coming. Its 25.00 per day stay as long as you...
