Re: Okuma Reels

Thanks for the response. That's the kind of info I was looking for. It does seem you get what you pay for. I've been doing some comparisons on shimano's website and I may just go with the stradic, a lot of great features for the price. I haven't ventured into the > $100 reels yet but I'm definitely ...

Okuma Reels

I was doing some looking around the web and read some articles about the new Okuma Helios and RTX spinning reels. Seem like a bang for the buck. I don't believe they are on the market yet but was curious if anyone has any of the current Okuma spinning reels and would care to share their opinions or ...

Re: No one get a Guardsman furniture "warrantee"

Some service warranties are regulated depending on the time period covered and the purchase amount. Check out the below website, and/or call the consumer help line. The states takes warranty/insurance complaints seriously. http://www.myfloridacfo.com/Division/Consumers/needourhelp.htm#.UD5AZKAsH8I A...

Re: Upcoming St Marks trip

http://www.shellislandfishcamp.com/ Check this place out. It's on the Wakulla/St. Marks so you have no worries about tide . Has dock parking and cabins. It will be the closest place to stay on the water that is near the lighthouse and the St. Marks scallop grounds. However, depending on this storm, ...

Re: How to predict the best time and day to go fishing?

Where are you getting the barometer readings? Any good websites or apps?

Regarding feed times:
For the Andriod user, check out Time2Fish it is a great app and I find it to be quite accurate.

Re: Success at St. Marks!

@oreocwby Here's my take. 1. no matter what, if you don't go you don't know. Even if tide, weather, feed times are off go anyway. 2. Lures are a jig (gulp or a paddle tail), Spoon ( I like aquadream), or a top water (just started using and I really like the Skitterwalk). I bought the Pro Cure Gel an...

Success at St. Marks!

Made the trip to St. Marks on Saturday, got a later start due to some beverages on Friday night, snakes in the grass. Lucky for us because the storms had ended by the time we showed up and Saturday turned out to be a great day. Made our way east to Stoney Bayou. I caught my first 26in redfish on top...

Re: live bait fishing at maclay gardens tonigt

I take that back, from what I read you can't take "Fresh Water Game Fish" by net. So if the bait you are catching isn't a game fish then you can catch them and use them to then catch Game Fish...

My past experience tells me they are gone... Since it is early they may come back towards the end of the season, but I'm going looking on Sunday.
