Re: No peepee

I keep a few pieces of twisted pair from a cat 5 cable in my boat to clear the pee stream when needed.

Re: Onboard Chargers

From what I hear, for reliability, you want a guest or a dual pro. Cabelas has teh 10 amp 24v guest on sale for $99 right now.

Re: leaders and swivels

....there is no need for a swivel when using braid as line twist will not effect the braid and make it coil off the spool! My experiance has been different. I used to get world class line twist knots with braid, even with swivels, on things like a spoon. I actually found braid to be worse than mono...

Re: My "New" Maverick HPX-T

Sweet boat. You will enjoy it. I have been on two HPX-V with 90's and they are sooo damn sweet, but wanted to experiment with a tunnel which I have never owned before. Its ride was very different but still nicer than I expected in the 15 mph winds that day and some decent wakes by boats passin by......

Very nice house.

I like the sturdiness and insulation qualities of the construction.

How do the construction costs compare to a regular stick built home?

Re: Econfina - winter solstice (12/21)

The longer we fished, the smaller the fish got. My first hook up of the day was easily the biggest I had, and he spit my slack hook set at the boat. He looked me in the eye, shook his head as if saying "no", spit the spoon out and then swam away leisurely. This was the best of our day. htt...

Econfina - winter solstice (12/21)

Late report - Mr. Greenjeans and I were on the water by 11 on Friday. Looked for reds in the usual places and almost immediately found them. We caught a 24" red and lost 2 more in the 25" range. After that, it was nothing but small slot reds and pups, but there were lots of them. This patt...

A big part of trolling is how deep do you want your presentation.

Water speed determines the depth a lure runs at. If you use gps speed as your guide, you will need to constantly adjust for current to hit your depth, which is going to usually be just a guess. RPMs work just as well.

I think it is a little of both the old school and new school hunters' fault. I have had plenty of peeps set up on top of me, on many different lakes, but I have also had plenty of long time hunters try to tell me a spot of public water was their's, even with no permanent blind around. Even with a bl...
