In the water around 7:30. On the way a duck passes us from behind. I was commenting to Mr Greenjeans that she had to be flying 35 + mph. A few seconds later, an eagle passes us on the other side of the boat, and greenjeans says that one is too. Then the eagle accelerates and almost snatches the blue...

I didnt see it, but that is a much better response by Bobby than when he called the fans "playstation all-americans" last year.

Anything that makes duck taste good is a victory.

So jsuber - does the other side of your avatar have a panther on it?

Mr. Greenjeans and I got on the water about 9. It was cool with a light breeze. The weather was awesome. Fished the creeks and caught a number of reds to 27". Most were slot fish. Also got a couple 18-19" trout on a soft jerk bait. Had some fish hit at topwater, but never got one to stick....

Nope, no ducks go there. Ever. Not worth hunting. Tides are murder too, oyster bars, mud flats, bad mojo for outboards and duckboats.

It always amazes me how otherwise smart people repeatedly fall prey to this tactic.

I have a center console on a 18 foot long 60" wide boat. I would not want a tiller, but I think a side console makes for better fishability. It can be a pain getting around the console when its in the center.

I have tried the hog pellets the night before and then chum with bread or oatmeal the day of and we only seem to get bream. I may start trying the cast net as much to get practice with it as anything. thanks for the responses.
