Re: just perusing craig list for sale section

Re: More Yak Bass from Jackson...

Nice! Bowfins have an attitude for sure! He doesn't look as dark as I would expect from Jackson. Those rascals can mutilate a spinner bait! Its wild watching a brofin chase a frog. They put out a wake bigger than a kayak. I had one on jackson yank the net out of my hands. The state record is 19lbs ...

Re: Fishing Accident

This is why you pull with the rod pointed straight down the line when snagged. The rod doesnt load up and whip the hook at you when it breaks free. I've had to duck too many spinner baits, worms and frogs doing it the wrong way.

Re: Stradic -- Why? Which?

I see several people are high on the Stradic reels -- How come? Not sure. I am one the hunt for a replacement for mine. I have three, and have had issues with all of them. I love my shimano baitcasters, but I am not as sold on their spinning reels. Everyone seems to like them so much that I chalk m...

Re: Five from Big Bend nabbed in federal fish sting

Investigators said the value of the fish exceeded $200,000.
Even at $20/lb, thats 5 tons of fish, minimum.

Federal charges, crossing state lines, 2 year investigation, lots of money spent to bring 57 charges.......these guys are going away for a long while.

Re: Sportsman Warehouse

I'm not too sure about the no salt water comments. They werent the absolute best, but no one in town can touch them, and the fresh water selection is very good, especially the soft plastics. Flats tackle was pretty well covered. Not much in the way of marine supplies, but the tackle was impressive, ...

Re: Kevin's in Tallahassee

I used to dislike kevins a lot, but no longer have that opinion. I also use blind eye, but too often have problems with stuff not being in stock. That is rarely a problem at kevins and they carry a wide selection of tackle. There are time I will pay a dollar or two more to got o kevins just because ...

I am not sure how you can fish anything with treble hooks on that lake. Anything other than weedless would crive me to distraction.

Nice fish
