Re: KAYAKING BAITS OUT FROM SURF...NEED HELP

I usually drop mine about 150 - 200 yards off. However, I've had bites less than 30 yds from shore, so it may not really matter.

Re: Thoughts on Alligator attacks...

There are reports that the tourists at Disney regularly fed the gators in that lake. That gator that grabbed the kid probably bit him thinking that he was being fed from tourists like normal. If the gator really grabbed the kid from a predatory action, I believe that the gator would have eaten the k...

Re: St Marks 6-11-16 fishing report. . . Sort of

I broke my axle just like that a few years ago. Hit a pot hole coming out of a parking lot and noticed my tire sure looked funny. Luckily I was just a couple miles from the house. I creeped home and had to put a new axle on it. If you have to put a new axle on, I would suggest changing everything fr...

Re: Econfina 6/4

Jacks have a more rounded head while pompano have a bit more pointed head. Jacks also have a bony area one their side right before their tail, while pompano are smooth. We had a school of jacks swim under the boat while they were tailing a school of mullet. Every one of the jacks looked like they we...

Econfina 6/4

Got out on the water around 9:30 and was met with a glass flat surface. No wind all day and alot of heat :smt004 :smt004 Fished everywhere from 4 ft to 8 ft. Had the best luck around 7 ft while bouncing a dark gulp along the bottom. Finding consistent grass was the key, once the bottom starting havi...

Re: Mt aluminum boat leaks!

I also have a bass tracker about that old that I use to fish the flats with, and I had the same problem. For me, the carpet bunkers on the boat seemed to be holding salt against the hull as that was the only place that wouldnt get washed down after fishing, and salt had gotten in between the sticker...

I've never fished with him and I don't know him, but Capt. Mike Goodwine (I follow him on Instagram) is always posting pictures of monster redfish.

Econfina 4/9

Launched after lunch at Econfina since the weather was supposed to be bad in the morning time. Turns out that NOAA missed it and it blew like crazy all day, but thats what I keep a drift sock in the boat for. The fishing was nowhere near as good as it was a week ago, but we fought the wind and caugh...

Re: Lower Unit

Either you have spun your prop, grinded the lower unit gears to nothing, or broken or bent your gear shift rod to your lower unit. Two are cheap fixes, one is not.

It was on fire last week. Hopefully all the fresh water hasn't messed things up.
