Inshore/Offshore 10/10

Started out by catching bait, still an abundance of pinfish. Went in and caught 24" Redfish. Went out to hunt for Cobia. Overcast about 75% of the time 25% sunny. Not the best spotting conditions. Fished several places, nothing. Then tap, tap, a small cobia with three friends. Put the Rod in th...

Work several spots 4 cobia caught, tagged and released from 29-32 to the fork. 10/7 - Two more undersized fish caught, tagged and released. Spotted a nice fis...

Anyplace there are concrete pilings will hold Sheephead. I drag ditches for crawfish and use them. They work fine. If you have a boat bring a scrapper to scrap the oysters and barnacles of of the concrete pilings and drop the crawfish in amongst the chum. You can also bring a five gallon bucket of s...

Yeah I was lucky. I was once fishing a good grouper bite with my son and the next door neighbor. I was fishing the stern when I turned around and neighbor boy was taking a leak with the rod laying across the console seat. Saw the rod jump twice then over the side. A custom built rod and Newell Reel....

Inshore/Offshore Fishing Trip 9/24

Started out bait fishing. Had my Nephew and his girlfriend along for the ride. Nephew and myself were catching pin fish, CT goes under and girlfriend picks up the ultralight. I could see about a two foot shark running line off the reel and then all of the sudden girlfriend lets the small shark jerk ...

Late post Cobia Fishing 9/17/06

After a disappointing loss by my beloved Seminoles, I tried to forget my sorrows by getting some salt air in my face. I have been very busy so it was my first trip in two months. I usually take a break during the heat of the summer to try and catch up on work that is leftover from Spring fishing. I ...
