The duck hunting in Tallahassee hasn't been anything to write about this year, but my partner and I were still looking forward to the season opening bac...

If you are going to feed or establish food plots you should keep this up all year. Once they eat all the acrons, they'll move in on your feed. If you are going to continue using corn I would recommend a feeder. It will save you money and the deer wont clean you out over night.... It's still more fun...

I feel the same way... go devil is the way to go, but I have a 5 hp briggs outboard motor that works fine. I was thinking that motor mount or a jack plate might make a difference when it comes to just clearing some pads and staying a little less tangled.

redbelly,
Did you try this on your john boat? I've been thinking about adding a plate to mine to make it run shallower for duck season.

I have one of these on my 14ft john boat. It's a great little running motor. I've even used mine down on the flats (I rinse it very well afterwards). It's a little slow on my boat, but perfect for duck hunting or just knocking around oyster bars down in the bays. For the money you cant beat the reli...

I've only tried the white and glow. Both worked. It's been the only bait I've used the past couple trips.

8/25 Oyster Bay

Hit the water with a friend down at Oyster Bay early Saturday morning. Ended up with two reds, and six trout (only 2 keeper trout). Had a couple more trout get off right at the boat. Caught them all on spoons and spinner baits. We stayed until a little after noon and decided it was time to hit the S...
