For anyone interseted

If anyone is interested in the aftershocks of waking the wife at 3:00 AM for fishing tournement where we didn't catch ant fish, the list is as follows: 1.) WAke up early to fix breakfast & no, Pop-Tarts don't cut it. 2.) Spend half the morning walking around Lowe's looking at flowers saying, &qu...

The lift is on one side of the Marina and the cleaning area is on the other side, against the canal. If you go past it, just turn around at the hot dog stand.

Tournement Predictions

I'm just trying to catch A (singular) keeper trout. Seeing as how it's an area I've never fished and I haven't caught one in the last two months, I think that catching one is a lofty goal...maybe I'll just follow Birddog and watch and learn... I know what you mean caseycook, catching one keeper wou...

Spinning Reel or Casting

I haven't found anything I can't throw with a casting reel. I'm also a clutz with a spinning reel TC, I'm glad you can but the last time I had baitcaster in my hands all it did was go over the side and sank like an expensive rock :smt013 . Did mention it was a wedding presnt from the in-laws? :smt010

Slurps vs Gulps

Jsuber's right on the money, you can take along 20 pounds of lures and you'll use probably only 2-3 all day long. But to answer your question or just murcky up the water, I catch more fish with Gulps, but before the Slurp invasion SWA was the way to go. I've got a couple of bags of both and I use th...

How Many Poles

I generally take 4-5 rods rigged with top water, suspending and diving plugs, a soft plastic and a Cajun Thunder. When cobia or spanish are making their pass through, I'll have another one baited up and drifted behind the boat. I quess the best answer is if you think you have enough bring one more.

Man JT51, that sounds an awful lot like my college years. Did you go to ABAC from '99-'02?
