Way to go Nole. Saw you out there yesterday, figured you were sockin' it to 'em. Nice job on the sheepshead. Beautiful day, wasn't it?

Nice job. Wish I could have gotten out this weekend. That gill plate is crazy. Amazing what injuries a fish can sustain and still keep tickin'.

I didn't build a boat from scratch, but I did find an empty hull and glassed in new decks, console, gel coated, etc. I thought I was going to save some serious jack going that route. About $6000 later I realized there is no savings, and if your labor is worth 10 cents an hour, you're in the hole. Li...

Took the wife to a nice dinner at Tamara's in Apalach that night, so I made up for it. For anybody that's never tried that place, I highly suggest it. Chalk - push pole broke. I made a couple attempts at carbon fiber pushpoles, and learned that when it comes to those things, leave them to the expert...

So how do the big ones taste? I would assume they are like black drum, and get stankier as they get bigger? :lick:

Lanark 10/14

Had a buddy in town from ATL this past weekend. We had planned on fishing St Joe Bay, but due to wind, and a few other factors too detailed to discuss here, we ended up at Lanark. I figured after last weekends trip that it was a pretty safe bet. Started out a little slower than last weeks action. St...

Thanks guys. Yeah Nole, I think I saw you putting your boat in as I was heading out of the marina. I thought my day was going to be cut short by motor problems as well. I got out in front of the reef and noticed my engine wasn't peeing. I took the cowling off and disconnected the tube from the motor...

Late Report - Lanark/ SGI 10/7

Fished the morning low tide at Lanark. Managed 11 reds in all. Got a couple on spinning rod and gold spoon wading in ankle to knee deep water. Went back to the boat and got the fly rod and managed 7 on it. Once the tide was in, got back in the boat and got a couple more on the spinning rod. Fished t...

No apologies necessary. I could have spoken too, but I was just in a hurry to get loaded up. Glad to hear you did so well this weekend. Next time I see you I'll say howdy.

That's disgusting Nole. Really disgusting. Saw you taking out at the ramp yesterday. I was pulling out next to you. I thought we did ok on the fish until I saw this post. There's got to be a rule somewhere against having redfish on two flyrods at the same time. Just not right. :smt012
