We grew up diving the murk at Crystal River where 6 ft vis was good…. So we got used to silhouettes….
The RG are taller and shorter…. Behave differently….
Gags usually need Xanax….. always on edge.
RG all are way chill.
Slight clarification….. in the 4th pic down from the top, those are big gags, the one that are endangered.
3rd pic down has a nice RG in the front to the left, others are gags.

If you bleed bonito well… cut gills and troll them in the water, they are as good fresh as any local YF from the market….
Only raw or sear…. If you like tuna that way , you’ll love them.
We target them now between dive spots
That’s what we see back east some. There will be one or two sows on a spot…. We are divers so don’t fish them too much. With all that bait I can see why they wouldn’t bite. Where you see the numerous smaller RS, you probably won’t find big ones there. You are correct that the sows dominate the reef ...
My understanding is that the PLB has 24 hr signal duration, full size epirb has 48…..
PLB is smaller and easy to pack.
Also, if they ain’t found you in 24 hrs………
