Has anyone been in contact with him. I was just thinking about him and his wife. They helped us a lot with our daughters wedding on the beach years ago. My family was also asking about them.

It’s just disgusting that they are taking the season away from the recreational fishermen and letting the commercial fishing industry continue to harvest gags.

A tag system may have to be the answer, with any fish you catch first to be kept and tagged. No 1/2” short fish to be fed to the sharks and barracuda when released. Season closed only when spawning is occurring.

I don’t know what the answer is but something has to be done. Not many people are going out any more. Coastal communities that rely on recreational fishing are hurting.
