Keaton beach tomorrow
Dave, Calvin and I likely will go look for trout and then stop by the north bird rack to find a few scallop. Will stand by on Channel 16. Give me a shout if you need anything.

Keaton beach July 12-14
Took a good friend and his family to Keaton for scalloping (mostly) and fishing. Didnt get there until noon on Friday, went south and didnt take us long to find the flotilla. With kids on board, we went looking in 3 foot of water and found them fairly thick in a number of spots. Managed to find 10 ...

Re: last day of the 2011 snapper season - panama city
Awesome post. As usual. I have never been on a party boat. How much is it per person? And how do you pick good one to go on?
We paid $95 per person for the Capt Anderson 12 hr trip. As far as picking a boat, you just have to try it out as each boat is different but generally the longer trips are ...

last day of the 2011 snapper season - panama city
Dave, Calvin and I went out on a partyboat in Panama City for the last day of the 2011 snapper season. I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
It’s a long 3hr boat ride. Are we there yet, are we there yet…….

Re: Offshore rod recommendation
The Trevala is perfect for our coastal snapper fishery. Calvin has killed many snapper as well as grouper with his trevala matched with a narrow spool Saltists. However, I would not drop a 10'' hardtail down with that rig. If this is your only bottom rig, i would go with something heavier. I would ...

Re: Where's Breambuster??????
I'm really flattered, thanks for asking. Yes, I've been gone for more than a month and almost missed the snapper season. We're so desperate that we may resort to partyboat. Will post a report if we go.

Re: Suggestions for a bottom fishing reel??
Listen to EddieJoe as he has provided the most accurate info. But frankly, you're asking a wide open question. It's like asking which club should I pick now that I'm picking up golfing. So, its not surprising that what you get thus far are all over the place - the suggestions posted are from ...

Re: Train kept on rolling, at the Ecky 5/30
I've learned that trout tackle, while sporting to use, but not the best tackle for cobia. I had my 30lb offshore tackle on my last trip and the cobia we caught still giving us fits.

Keaton 6/19-21/11
Spent 3 decent day at Keaton last weekend.
Thursday; had a late start and didnt get on the water until noon but had 4 trout before heading back in at around 2 pm to pick up two out of town friends. Went back out at 2.30 pm and pick up 4 more before high tide. However, outgoing tide was tough as ...

Re: FYI
Guys, here's the update.
The bottom line is that they agreed to pay for the repair after I send the letter below to the GA state manager. Its an aggravation but I really cant say anything bad about almost everyone I had to deal with, and therefore have decided to not reveal the name of the ...
