Bainbridge....

There are two sand bars several miles north of Bainbridge and also one a mile south of Bainbridge. You can tube up or down the river. Plus the spring above the sand bar a few miles. Be careful in a bigger boat. Big Jims is a cool place to grab a bite and a beer. Its off Spring Creek Rd about 20 minu...

Re: Monster at S tower

My experience with a Goliath grouper is they will take the fight straight up and down. A shark and porpoise fight much the same way, with long runs and all, with a porpoise staying near the top more. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to “turn” a porpoise either. They just head west til they decide t...

Forecast is wrong!!!

A buddy was on a charter today out of Mexico Beach. 36’ Yellowfin took a wave over the bow. They had to plow in around 10mph. Another buddy sunk his gig boat last night in Ocholocknee Bay when the storm came thru. Had another friend go late this afternoon from 4-7pm. Started off 1-2s and quickly jum...

Re: Recommendations - Spot lock trolling motor

If you venture offshore from time to time, you will appreciate the 72” shaft and the 112# of thrust. The 60” could porpoise out of the water in a 2’ chop. But if your a calm water, flats, rivers and creeks kinda guy, 60” and 80# will do. I fished the intracoastal waterway one day and the tide was ri...

EPRIB or PLB?

I bought both. One mounted on the boat. One on my body. Correct me if I'm wrong but if an Eprib is registered and attached to a boat, don't you have to stay with the boat to be found should something happen? ) Its attached to the boats console on a quick release mount. If given time, I can manually...

Here are a few from facebook. Suddenly $8000 doesn’t buy a whole lot. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200520/75eb63774da34ef09b4d24f04c1ff8ab.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200520/704db876178c20f9755d4a42a04a5048.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200520/b4a944861bd12a7d38d204c5c0223a...

Re: Salt Water Trolling Motor Recommendations

I’ve had the Minn Kota Terrova iPilots on 3 different boats. Never had the 1st problem other than the gps spot lock loosing its hold from time to time. Not a problem though, you just press the anchor button again. Definitely a necessity for fishing offshore. Useful inshore. Haven’t touched an anchor...

Gas grill is for emergency use only.

I actually bought a pellet grill so my kids(14,17) could “safely” cook while they are home alone.
