Re: Lake Miccosukee 4/3/09

I hear what you're saying, brother. Your style of spec fishin' is new to me but hey, that's why it pays to ask questions. That's a technique I want to try on my next trip. Thanks for takin' the time to help a fella out.

Re: Lake Miccosukee 4/3/09

Well that's a whole lot different than what I was doin', which was trolling the back boat runs with a curly tail jig. Why do you make your line on your jig pole so short? Would a yellow Sally work just as well?

Re: Ochlocknee River -Thomasville- 3/22

GB, I was there also on Sat. and didn't catch but 2 cats myself. I've fished there only 5 or 6 times myself but have managed to bring home nice messes of channel and blue cats when I've went down river and anchored above a logjam when the river's a little high. I like to use shrimp or cutbait and ca...

As long as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is still on the throne, and the Christ Jesus is at His right hand, I have the peace that passes all understanding.

Re: Cold Day on the Aucilla 1-17-09

Large bottle rockets with report work well in that situation too. I'm a native Taylor Countian that grew up on the Aucilla River. I know most of you Georgia Crackers are good and decent folks who are considerate of other fishermen, but there are many who have garnered a well deserved reputation amo...

That sounds alot like a trip me and Welby had at Spring Warrior 3 or 4 years ago. Same month, almost the same kind of bait, same conditions. The big trout turned on like a light switch! Big ones, too. One of the best trips ever. :-D

Ya'll know I don't normally root for UF but when you can wade through the SEC this year like they did, well my hat's off to 'em. If I were a betting man I'd say the Gators thump the Sooners. :-D
