Well, the tide did not want to let loose like I thought it would and it was so calm it didn't seem like anything would happen slick as cat "".....no big bait pods inside of Tripod and uncoincidentally that leg of the troll was slack....ran out to last marker and got on some schools of ciga...

Hey All, just a couple of q's here hoping to get some input for a trip in the morning.....first, has anyone ever tried trolling for spanish with spinner-baits? Seems like an ideal bait for them though I've never used them. ....second, has anyone caught a cobe on a "trolling lure" and if so...

I trolled around at St. Marks looking for Spanish in particular but we sight fished for the non-existing schools of Cobia, and fished a bar for reds to no avail .....think the cobes may be running further offshore from the reports.....on the troll we caught a bunch of ladyfish, one bluefish, lost on...

Don't know if the fish are as finicky as they were down in Tampa last month but I threw every kind of hardware at a 15 fish school and they just kept on cruising North....also chucked a dead cigar minnow in front of them to no avail! Talked to a guy who said he battled 17 Cobes that same day out of ...

Despite all the "overfishing" something seems to be working here in Florida. I've been boating a good variety of fat fish over the last few weeks. Fish including a 14lb gag over at the Rube Allen out of Tampa Bay, a near limit on 12-15lb Kings out of Edgemont, and a huge 15-20 class red-fi...

Actually, it was downright slick by 3pm in front of DI. But, to make you feel better the Grouper bite was slow for us. 4 people with myself and Cap. landing two legals each. Would have limited b-4 the size limit was raised...and saw a fella at the fillet table who didn't seem to know there was a siz...

Wind looked nasty in the morning but sure laid down pretty by 2-3pm. I boated a dozen or so grouper and too many sea bass to count...Grouper bite seemed a little slow but bass kept the action going, fished 40-50ft of water. Think the Kings are starting to show up as I had a fish eat my egg weight an...

Don't know exactly how heavy the jig was..approximately 2oz. Thanks for all the input fellas! I'm sold on jig fishing now...it is a good option if the grouper digger bite is slow.

My bet is that you will be able to catch the same bait..incidentally, I have caught bait with my 6ft 3/4 in 15ft of water...if the bait is on the surface just close it mid way on the fall...menhayden and ale-wives are easy to catch like this as they tend to just swim straight ahead instead of under ...

Hey number guys...I have word from a reliable source that the accuracy of the GPS has gone back to 100ft or yards compared to the prior 10ft/yds it was(sept.11 triggered it)....can anyone validate that for me? If it's true don't change your numbers fellas!
