If the sand perch isn't real tiny they are very good eating. Real meaty little filets, and white as snow.

I was also going to suggest you look at the basspro combo's you can't beat the price and for all fresh water application they will last just fine. I have a quantum IR4 Iron that has been very good in the salt, casts better than my ambassaduers but I don't think it is as rugged, who needs rugged for ...

Go to FS Forum NW Florida and read Old Dog's posts. He has been regularly slaying the trout in the delta area of the Apalachicola, I think he mentioned the bank above scipio creek on one of his postings. He uses DOA shrimp drifted along the bottom and Terroyze for redfish.

Hey Wil I saw your picture with those big channel cats, you and Tom and Tom's Dad had quite a day. I wonder what kind of eel the guy was using? I know the Cobia guys down in Destin and PC use sand eels to catch cobia. Was he using sand eels do you think? :???:

The East River on Friday was a big bust. Not a single hit. We saw some guys who fishecd up past the power plant and they said what you did, tons of tiny trout but no keepers. Oh well.

Almar, I am probably going to go fish St Marks tomorrow morning and after your report think I might try the mouth of East River and work my way back to the east. Did you go outside at all or stay up in the river?

I have had great luck with my 1983 246 Aquasport. It now has it's 4th outboard on it a 250 Yamaha. Sort of cold and damp like all center consoles. If I was going to buy a new one I'd probably get a cuddy or walk around. For shallow a little open skiff of the myriad types will do. The aluminum tunnel ...

Cranfield, he is usually a very good shot but the few shots he had were ducks coming in over his shoulder and when he spun around there were already getting pretty far away. That and the fact that were we were freezing which slows us warm weather types down considerably. I'm hoping we can try again ...

Actually Jr. was using mono on his spinner and I was using braid, 10# fireline high vis yellow with fluoro leader. I use mono on my bait casting reels and am trying the braid on one spinner and like it so far. We had a fun day on the water once it warmed up a tad.
