Re: ISO used bay/bass boat
There ain't no such thing as a bass/bay boat. I have a bay boat and it would suck at bass fishing. My buddy had a bass boat and it sucked at flats fishing. That and no price range make it hard to help. I would have to disagree. I have an Intracoastal model triton and have caught limits of trout/red...

Re: Purchase Power
I absolutely caught more fish before net ban. I'm not sure where those numbers came from or how they were compiled. What I can tell you is that trout were much more prevalent before the ban and actually decreased for a while some years after nets were banned. Also have noticed a decline in trout num...

Re: Purchase Power
Maybe the CCA should be questioned? I'm all for conservation. Though I have see the benefits of conservation decisions to support them. I definitely wouldn't support a political group pushing me on how to spend my money. With that said, I have to ask where the proof is that the net ban has improved ...

Re: Big Slabs
Talquin is hit or miss right now. Can catch a mess but not a fast bite. Night fishing is producing good results. Iamonia is dead water levels and temps are too high. Expect it to turn on as this changes. Not sure about Micc. Tired Creek is producing decent catches on minnows. Seminole is the best bi...

Re: St Marks trout thrashing
Yes guys you have to give them reason to check freezers at home. As far as the fishing after a limit is caught. It is clearly stated to not harvest any more of that species once a limit is caught. A friend of mine got fined up north for this and I had always kept fish alive and culled. He was told o...

Re: St Marks trout thrashing
Most fisherman don't realize that they are to stop fishing once a limit is obtained. My question is can you fish for another species? The officer I asked said that's left to interpretation and what happens if I accidentally catch another trout while red Fishing? You turn it loose. No law against co...

Re: St Marks trout thrashing
In general, the daily bag limits set by Commission rule for saltwater fishing are for a calendar day (24-hour period from midnight to midnight). These limits are also possession limits. Therefore, it is illegal to possess more than one day's bag limit "while in, on or above the waters of the St...

Re: St Marks trout thrashing
I reccomend you don't take my word or anyone else's word for it. Especially those guys on Florida Sportsman. Call FWC and get from the officers themselves. They are not going to check your freezer. I was just stating the law. I have known in extreme situations officers to check freezers at marinas a...

Re: St Marks trout thrashing
It is absolutely not true that you can carry filets or cleaned fish or any game over your possession limit. If you camp for a week, month or a year you can only possess two days limit. This includes your freezer at home legally.

Re: St Marks trout thrashing
On the topic of guided trips, a rule was established to prevent overindulgence by guided party's. There is a maximum boat limit of 15 trout. The possession limit has always been 2 days harvest but there are exceptions such as redfish wish is 6. I feel like we are beating a dead horse. Especially whe...
