Great report! Water temp in Big Pass this past weekend was 72, but only catfish wanted to get on the hook. Water looked the color of southern sweat tea.

Where did you find decent water clarity on Sunday? All the water I saw looked like coffee!

I went out on Saturday around Big Pass and then to Goose Creek. All we caught was one short red. Water temp was between 55 and 57.

I haven't been fishing since the Saturday after Thanksgiving so I don't know what the recent rains have done to the water. This Saturday looks like it will be a good day to try. High tide is at 12:21 and wind should be below 10mph

I've always wanted a Mini 14 in stainless. There are many different opinions on the Mini 14 firing 5.56, but I believe it's ok to use 5.56 in the standard model.
