Re: Now you are FORCED to take a survey to get a license

It's my understanding Louisiana has been surveying and are finding the feds best scientific information guesses are way over what LA is finding in actual surveys. It's not perfect but it's better than what we have with the feds. I'm all for helping the Gulf States get back control of the Gulf and re...

Re: Anybody read Spring Creek Chronicles and

The Old Man and the Boy by Robert Rourk is one of if not the best book I've read.
I enjoyed Spring Creek Chronicles but there were some sections that I didn't like. Tales of almost sinking his mullet boat with so many mullet and still wishing he could get more on it.

Ever been gigging? For HUGE mahi??? Wow!

Really cool video! I'd have never thought to try this. If I lived in south FL I'd have to give this a shot.

Video. Make a very realistic shrimp out of a straw

I'm thinking one of these under a cork with a small split shot crimped on would be great on the flats. These cold windy evenings would be a good time to make up a few to try when the water warms up. You might have to go with a sturdier hook. http://www.sportfishingmag.com/techniques/lure-fishing/vid...

Re: Small Pecan Grove Question

Have you thought about maybe planting the 4 trees on the outside corners of your diagram and running some fruit trees down the middle? Maybe run the row of three's and leave out the middle row and plant fruit. I'd think from what I've seen gathered around here on a good year 8 or 10 trees would give...

Re: Small Pecan Grove Question

Definitely talk to the experts. I do know you can sell them. Lots of folks in S GA do. Thomasville has the best prices in the area this year. It is a LOT of work though if done by hand. You have to pick them up and then clean them. I'm guessing you would have to keep them separate since different va...

I sure wish I could have made it but plans for Saturday night were already set. It sounds like a great weekend! Glad you both got to go down and get on the water and got some good food.

Re: Cadillac Eldorado Doral

The tires have a good bit of tread and seem ok. They are old though. The seat back is in a comfortable position. Slightly forward for some folks maybe. The seat moves forward and back fine. I think the back actually was leaning too far back for Mom and she had a local mechanic put a screw in it wher...

Questions on what is needed when selling a car

Selling Mom's old car- I have some questions. I printed off the Bill of Sale from the State of GA and the bottom it has the purchase price and below that it has a space for sales tax in county of purchaser. Below that is tax due amount. So I have to collect sales tax? Who do I have to pay it to? Tha...
