Man, That's quite an upgrade from paddle-power to peddle-power and now to that sweet deal.

My vote goes with the Gyrene. Thanks for the post. That was exactly how I wanted to say it.

Re: Wake Up America!!!
We could get all this turned in the right direction with one simple change - make paying federal income tax a prerequisite to voting. In other words, if you don't pay tax, you don't get to vote. After all, we are voting on people to decide how to spend our money. So, if you don't pay anyting in ...

Re: Florida/Georgia sales tax issue/question please help!!!
Aren't near as many good used saltwater boats in Georgia to pick from. Besides, Florida is in the top 10 bank foreclosure states in the country right now, Lots and lots of individuals needing to get boats off of their asset listings in order to get themselves back in black.

Re: Florida/Georgia sales tax issue/question please help!!!
So let me get this straight....Georgia residents should buy used boats from an individual that resides in Florida and then they will only have to register, title and pay tax on the trailer. Wow, that is kinda stupid when you think about it.

Re: Grouper Status...?
Florida should just put a big'ol fat consumption tax on seafood. That would help the State generate some extra revenue in these lean times, it would help the fish with a few years of low commercial demand, and it would put a few commercial guys into a new line of work. Kinda like the cigerette tax.

Re: Anybody having problems with the ethanol gas?
I read somewhere that it takes 3 gallons of fuel to produce 4 gallons of ethanol. Not to mention the food supply issues that will occur when farmers start growing crops that are price-supported to make into ethenol instead of food. I feel for the 3rd world countries when that happens. If Ethenol was ...

Re: Mono V-hull Vs. Cat
I forgot to mention that this is a family deal. Inshore scalloping, kayak ferry, maybe some diving in the far-off future, and offshore.
Do you think the gas efficiency should allow you to take out-of-route back and avoid the "bee-line" if it is going to be unreasonably uncomfortable. One of the ...

Mono V-hull Vs. Cat
Looking at purchasing first-time offshore boat, and kinda wondering why everyone buys mono v-hulls when everything I read is telling me that the catamaran design is somewhat better in rough seas, has more deck room, much better draft ( kinda moot point ), lower gunnels, and requires less effort to ...
