The time you see can be set in your profile. Set it to - 5:00 for EST - 6 for CST.

GS the forum used to do that, automatically take you back, but I have made several code modifications and I think I broke it. I will try to fix it.

Was the 4th boat in the water went back down to the same area as yesterday and the trout were schooling like bass and busting on top. Caught 10 keeper fish in 30 minutes. I hooked several fish per cast when...

My paw-in-law and I got down there about 7:15. Started with mirrorlures and put 9 keepers in the box in one hour. I caught 6 in 20 casts. Couldn't buy the 10th fish after the boat traffic started. If you go get there early. Lots of folks did well on reds and black drum using shrimp on the bottom. On...

GS was kind enough to post this on the old board, so I thought I would bring it to the new board because it is great information. Ever wonder how to remove the throat from a fresh grouper? Well here's how. First off, fillet the grouper just as you would normally do. I usually cut around the rib cag...

We were in ~30 feet just east of Marker 24. The water temperature is still too high for trolling. 65-68 is ideal.

Here is a technique for fighting big fish on light tackle I like to call Palming the Reel When fishing the flats I normally use 10 pound test line or less on light spinning tackle and sometimes hook some really big fish. On smaller fish you can use just the drag to play the fish and constantly adjus...

1) Leave out as much line as your rod is long. If your rod is 7' long leave 7' of line out. This makes your rod and line into one huge shock absorber. Too many times I see novices reel their line up and leave only 3-4 feet out. This will get you a few things such as, broken line, broken rods, or a r...
