Re: Marine mechanic rates?

$100 per hour.

$125 if you want to watch.

$150 if you feel the need to "help".

Re: Flares

IF.......you ever are unlucky enough to need to use those flares, I bet you would not discriminate against firing off the older ones.

You can't have too much ammo. In my humble opinion.

Re: St James 8/28

Nice fish.

You are lucky to have acess to a dock that holds fish. That is not always the case. I would strongly recomend you make sure not to post a picture that allows others to identify that particular dock or you might (will) have unwanted competition for your pet redfish.

Re: Shell point to the light house

Honestly, if your boat is a 17' flat-bottom skiff, the best route would be Highway 98 on the trailer. Not trying to be a smart azz but running across the unprotected flats is going to beat the heck out of you and your crew if the sea breeze kicks up a bit.

Picked over around Grey Mare....how can that be. lol

Obviously....... I'm no fan of 200 boat loads of scallopers between me and the boat ramp. :smt011

Re: No More Fishing Reports...

I'm going to miss your fishing reports too. You posted more reports where you didn't catch squat than anyone on here ever.

I appluad your honesty and dogged determination to learn the area and catch some fish. Good luck in your new ventures.

Re: SGI Guide Recommendations

Specifics always help.

Inshore= 4 of us slinging corks for trout

or

Inshore= Me with my flyrod in hand stalking a redfish.

The guys SK mentioned above are all number 2. Call Robinson Guide Service in apalach for bay boat inshore trips for up to 4 anglers.

Re: SGI inshore

I have fished that area a lot in the last few years. April, May and about 1/2 of June are usually pretty good for Reds and trout. October and November too. However, July and August pretty much suck. You have about an hour to fish before the sun comes up and hits the water. After that go home. This d...

Re: CCA Star Tourney. Who's In?

I'm happy to report I'm on the board for 2020. I registered my first red and trout on Sunday. It was hot but tolerable on the water with a nice SE breeze. The parking lot at the lighthouse was like Memorial Day weekend. They were hauling one dude off in the ambulance, no idea what his issue was.

Re: FS: 2004 Dorado 23

I've come to the conclusion that you need at least 3 boats for our area. My little Gheenoe LT25 is the perfect lake, river, and low tide winter ST. Marks skiff. The 22' Bay Boat is the perfect family fishing, light offshore, Dog Island, all-around fun boat for everyone. What I need to add is that 17...

I love my MK I-Pilot. That being said this looks like a direct rip-off of the Power Pole product.

Evidently the patent time ran out and now it's blatant copy time. lol

Re: Preferred retrieve rate for lures

My preferred rate for a bait-caster is cast, pull out birds nest for 5 minutes while fish swim by, throw baitcaster overboard, pull out my Stradic and get busy. lol
