Thanks for the info. The only people I've talked to that is in love with the jacket style are sight seeing type folks!! I really liked the rear inflate when I used it! Going to get it for sure now!

Hey guys,

I"m thinking about changing from a jacket style BC, to a rear inflate BC! I dove a couple of weeks ago with one and thought it was a lot easier to hunt with than my jacket style BC. the only thing I found a little aggervating or I should say annoying was floating on surface had to kick my ...

You are rite about what the FWC is going to enforce for now! However the feds and Coast Guard may see it differently. And require you to have the "approved" ones. Also if you fish toward the western side of the state and venture into Alabama waters what are they going to be enforcing? I ...

You need to be careful I think the only ones that are approved by NOAA, are the ARC ones. Or at least that is what I have been told by FWC.
There are a lot of "GRAY" areas in these new laws up for interpretation!!! These are the least of our problems the one power at be that handles the gulf fishery ...

Vis. about 30 ft. at the first stop in 85 ft. of water. Sow snapper were thick reef donkey's were everywhere, but very spooky thanks to a very large mammal that paid us a visit. moved inshore to around 50 feet vis. was horrible at best 10 feet

COSTA 580!!! I have used all the Costa, lens 580's are by far the best! NO sun headaches, they work in all conditions ie low light, cloudy, bright sun. Well worth the money$$$

I think they are called "white Snapper", but not really a snapper a member of the porgy family. Did they have purple lines around their mouth?

I like the Williamson Butter Fly Knock off, they cost hooks and all around $12.00, each! The Shimano version you will have about $21.00, in it rigged out.
As far as size the 5 wt. works great to about 200 feet in the gulf. the 7 wt. for deeper water! Oh!! Everything eats these things so hold on ...
