I've had the same issues.
Have used plastic jaw pliers to pop them back in, then super- glue... They come back out though.

BC have you tried to get them to bite?
Mullet that swarm chum will often bite on a gold hook if the bait is right. I grew up downstate a ways catching mullet this way in brackish water. It was a lot of fun.

Another nice report, RB, thanks.
The tail on that grouper is really rounded, could it be a baby goliath?

If I have a choice for my last meal, I doubt it would be a puffer. Just sayin.

Re: Robinson Camp Rd., Lake Talquin launch
Last time I went down Robinson Camp Rd there was a sign saying the fee for that ramp was $3. I didn't use the ramp so I can't comment on the condition.
Lake Talquin Lodge is also near there and the ramp fee is $5.

Re: Real World Opinions on New Sonar Units
Gyrene,
I took another trip to Talquin and recorded some sonar logs. This snapshot shows the side image in 12 feet of water. You can see to bait balls under the boat and on both sides of the boat. This is a with 455Khz transducer. The distortion is where I made a course adjustment. HumViewer is the ...

Re: Real World Opinions on New Sonar Units
I've been a LOWRANCE user for a decade or so and wanted a side image unit. Recently online I found a Humminbird 899 ci HD with a 455 kHz side image transducer for $800 and change. It was the best I could afford and I am satisfied with the unit. The swing vote that made me go with the HB was that I ...

Pic's on the net look a lot like a Kenner. I have a 21' that was a very dry ride.

Re: Yamaha F250 running hot
Lawsup, I'm not a marine mechanic, and like you, I work on my own stuff a lot.
Seems if you hot water tested the thermostats and are sure the poppet check valve is opening all the way, you've done the easy part.
Then as said by others:
water pump/impeller - broken fins, drive key problem, air ...

Ditto on EddieJoe's comment. I remember seeing them at the Mashes Sand's BP, but that was back in the early or mid 90's. Can't remember ever noticing any more since, there or anywhere else.

I'd like to take along my last two Vicodin. It would be a long ride back to the hill with a stretch 30 stuck in my arm or with something sprained/broken/dislocated. Haven't needed them yet, but you never know.

Re: Lookin like a fool with your boat on the ground.
Just Fish, that's all some mighty good advice. I wouldn't want to be anchored out in the channel no matter how good the fish bite.
The next boat "capt'n" could have a B.A.C. right up even with their IQ. They also might just be stupid. Getting in front of them can make for a real bad day. Right or ...
