Re: Travel

Don't go to Franklin County.. They have a local order to quarantine 14 days from any state  .

Maintain social distancing just like you're doing at home and come down to Wakulla county.

Re: Last Post On This Site

Stick around we're not all bad. I'm 35 and had some good back and forth with you over the years. Everyone is bored and grumpy right now and it seems to be coming out through the safety of a keyboard. I'll admit to it too.. Things suck right now. The bickering has gotten a bit out of control. salute3

Re: Did anyone from GA get told to go home this weekend?

Some of the ramblings on here about the "illegal" actions of closing boat ramps are just insane. It sucks, but it's well within the purview of whichever controlling jurisdiction is at play to shut down public access facilities for any number of reasons. Renovations, cleaning, public safet...

Re: The wisdom of boat ramp closures???

I'm not trying to come at you GA folks but we're under a stay at home order in FL and they're checking the roads at state lines... I sure wouldn't go up to GA from FL right now and think it's a really bad idea. . Where are these checks occurring? I-10 at AL state lines? I'm honestly not sure. I kno...

Re: The wisdom of boat ramp closures???

I can't see Wakulla turning anyone away and the boat ramps/marina's are open. The weekends are pretty busy but as far as I can see everyone's doing what they're supposed to. I can't see some GA fishermen having any negative effect on the ramps being open.. That's the young people partying together a...

Re: Are we allowed to fish?

Franklin county Sheriff was on WCTV last night and said that folks from Ga ("which was an infected state") need not come to Franklin County, they will be required to be quarantined for 14 days or arrested by deputies and fined if they are caught coming to Franklin County! This will end an...

Re: Rental

They're cracking down on vacation rentals right now but i'm not sure this is the type of rental they were talking about. I don't really have a strong opinion on whether you should or not just felt like you should figure that into your research.

As far as I know this is correct but I wouldn't be surprised if the local law enforcement are making their own "rules". Wakulla is pretty lax right now unless you're rafting up or partying too close to others.

Re: Are we allowed to fish?

Yeah your right. Showed the ramp at the old fort day before yesterday on channel 6 news. Making a point to show boats full of people. Even showed a pontoon boat full of folks. So much for common sense social distances by boaters. Remember all the idiots you've all had to wait behind at a ramp. You ...

I don't think crossing state lines is a great idea right now but there's plenty of fishing to be done down in St Marks.

BTW, been "stuck at home since 2005 when I retired. Have nightmares about going back to work. Best life a fisherman could have.
