Re: Grouper in the Rock Garden

A long time ago(about 10 years or so ago) I caught a keeper grouper on the flats just off the lighthouse in about 4'. It was a cold day.

This the right guy?

Re: Winter pinfish?

In the winter I have caught pinfish right off the dock at shields and headed out with live bait. I haven't been able to do that in the summer so I assume they probably move with the trout.

I'm not sure though.

Re: What was I doing wrong on Sunday?

I fished thursday in the area and found them about a mile or even as close as a half mile due south of the lighthouse in about 5-6' of water. I was shocked they were in water that deep but the tide was high. I must have caught like 30 of them fishing a basic cajun thunder with about 3-4' of leader w...

Re: 2021 Scallops

My buddy and I were out scalloping the weekend before last. Had dive flag up. Couldn’t spot my buddy so I climbed back into the boat. As soon as I spotted him I was chef two boats pass within 20 feet of him well within 300 ft from the boat Both were off plane but making way well above idle. We were...

Re: 2021 Scallops

Speaking of sharing scalloping grounds, I saw what I think was an 8-10 ft hammerhead slowly cruising the shallow flats near the party bar the other day. I don't think they recognize dive flags either..... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210712/261e5b89e08ecea536d42df07b97ba28.jpg Sent from my SM...

They take a beating, float like a skiff and ride better than they should.

Some boats are just worth restoring.

It'll serve you well.

Re: Don't get gas at the sunoco in Woodville for awhile

I pumped the fuel out and there was alot of water in the tank. Once again can't say 100% sure. When you say a lot of water how much are you talking about? pint, quart, gallon? At least a gallon. I pumped out 12 gallons stopping every gallon or so and dumping the fuel water separator which would be ...

Re: Don't get gas at the sunoco in Woodville for awhile

where is a good location to purchase non-eth along the Woodville Highway route? I'm up here in northern Leon and like to gas up on the way back home. I usually get Non-E gas for the boat at Gulf Coast because they normally have the best shrimp around as well. San Marko Shell on the corner of Woodvi...

Re: Don't get gas at the sunoco in Woodville for awhile

Just got finished checking all my tanks/fuel.... No water, not even a bit. DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE is who to call to report fair enough like I said it could be anything and while I suspected it was your pumps you have no reason whatsoever to tell me otherwise. If anything I need to take a hard look at...
