Re: Key West 1720cc Sportsman
DAVE????????????????? Have you lost your mind?? That 1720 is one of the best flats/bay boats ever made. You will regret it as soon as you do it jjust like BB said. Listen to him he is a friend that cares. You won't find a better boat than that for what you like to do. Even if you didn't fish that is...

Re: realistic distance in a bay boat

I also car...

Re: Help me decide on a motor please.
Let's face it... most people don't run their boat every week. I think fuel injectors hold up better to sitting around unused than does a carb. I don't know man. There are alot of 1960's and 1970's motors still turning strong and they are all carbs. On a car I would agree with you but not an outboar...

Re: Help me decide on a motor please.
That don't make sense. The 90hp Yamaha 2 stroke is one of the best motors ever made and it has carbs. I have never heard of anybody having trouble with one.SHOWBOAT wrote:Please explain your thought process here. Re: Help me decide on a motor please.
Yamaha is the only choice unless you like to spend time in the shop. I am not trying to pick a fight with anyone but I know from experience and have several friends who run boats for a living. Yamaha quality is hard to beat.
