Fishing out of St. Marks tomorrow...any advice??

I'm debating whether to head up the river, or make a trip offshore. The seas are looking to be favorable. I usually only head out to about 30'. I went out there two weeks ago and was skunked; however, the few reports I've heard about trout and redfish up the river haven't been very encouraging ...

Hello all,
I've heard that North winds are bad for fishing in the St. Marks area. Is this true, and if so, why? Are there any strategic alternatives that one can make while the north winds are blowing? By the way, I'm speaking of fishing in the 2-12' depth range. Thanks!

Phish-n-fool,
Sounds like you had a nice day. Could anyone give a rookie advice on how to create a chum line? Also, I'm not looking for your secret recipe, but what's a decent homemade chum? Thanks!

Hey guys,
I just recently started fishing the east flats of St. Marks. Are you refering to the rock that has the PVC pole ascending from it, approximately 200-300 yards from the shoreline, and about 1.5nm from the lighthouse? I was warned about this rock and others surrounding it before I started ...

Hey guys! I have nearly isolated the frozen steering on the boat to the cable. Anyone have experience replacing the steering cable on an outboard? Thanks!
