If you are going for enjoyment, be sure the forecast no more than 1 to 2 feet. Remember that most of the people on this forum are inshore fishermen and women. Regular frozen chum works great but you only need about a 1/2lb and they only sell it in 5lb boxes.

Takes me back 30 years! Oldest daughter was born in December. Had to wait till late Feb. for her first boat ride. Youngest was born in late April. She was on the water at 2 weeks. Both are waterlovers.

We can still buy non-ethanol fuel but we pay more and have to order a week in advance. They call it recreational gas. Because of the extra expense and the planning required it's going to be difficult to get anywhere but marinas.

I'd take it to a pro. The flywheel need to come off as there is probably a nest or two under there also the air intake and lower unit at a minimum. We've seen dirt daubers take out a powerhead!
