Re: Bayshore Custom Flats Boat FS
Let me think about this. Spend my savings for my upcoming wedding or buy my dreamboat? hmmmm By the way, if i want my future wife to know that I'm tempted, I'll tell her myself. That boat is a work of art. Sorry you're selling your baby, but best wishes with your retirement.

Re: In town on business, where to fish :)
My buddy couldn't go until noon. We fished hard and went to some new areas trying to find clearer water -- but that didn't work for us. I caught 40" bonnethead shark on a live crab which was fun. Lost a nice redfish a few feet from the boat, and a few short fish. Overall a slow day, but the sce...

St. Marks 4-18-15
Fished hard east from noon to 6:30 pm yesterday. Tough fishing with water that looked liked skim chocolate milk, with threatening rain, but never got wet. Very few strikes. Lost one decent red and one big trout. Caught and released a 17" red. Had one suspect spanish hit (cut the soft plastic). ...

Re: Turkey hunting weekend....loooooong
Congrats on your hunts. Nice to meet you on here. This was a most enchanting post. I've always wanted to see a field of whitetop pitcher plants like that. Very interesting carnivorous, endangered plant (Sarracenia leucophylla). The pics of the female luna moth and the "hugging" kites were ...

Re: In town on business, where to fish :)
Ditto on the previous post. That point at the Fort is very deep and I would suspect it has fish all year. At the lighthouse at the mouth of the same river, if you've never been on oyster beds, read up on footwear. There's probably a post about wade fishing oyster bars. They can be razor sharp. I'd p...

Re: Aucilla Ramp
Thanks. I'm sure I could do it, but I think I'll be wise to get a porter skeg guard before i venture down that river and then follow someone out. The learning curve is expensive out there.

Re: In town on business, where to fish :)
found himself between two bellowing gators one on each side of the dike. He described the gator on the Piney Z side as "easy 10 ft. " Don't worry, they were just looking for a hand out, if you know what I mean. :D Seriously, I agree about the dusk comment, better to err on the side of cau...

Re: In town on business, where to fish :)
Any Saltwater within striking distance? Yes there's plenty of saltwater. I'd read this recent thread on the topic. I'd invite you on my boat too, but I usually stay out longer than a couple hours. http://www.bigbendfishing.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37722&p=294471&hilit=Cohumulone#p...

Re: In town on business, where to fish :)
Welcome. Yes, I'd park at the park you mentioned. Piney Z has some mowed fingers designed for fishing off the bank. Also there's a long dike on the east end. I've watched people catch average-sized bass off that dike. Heading north from the dike is a new foot bridge over the railroad tracks leading ...

Aucilla Ramp
Questions:
Is the Aucilla Ramp now open?
If so, do you think I could put a 21' Carolina Skiff in there?
thanks

Congrats! That is an awesome and hilarious report! Sounds like you're about to get this deal figured out. Those small reds still put up a good fight.
