Re: Florida Marine Tracks around St Marks
eightwt, in reference to your comment, Would be interested in your opinion as to photo imagery of FMT with that unit. Just got our Lowrance FS 9 hooked up and operational. Thanks.
I had just shucked my FS-9 unit out of the box and was trying to learn how to operate it with that FMT chip installed ...

Re: Florida Marine Tracks around St Marks
I just picked up the Lowrance FS 9 with the Florida Marine Tracks for North Florida and took a screen capture of part of the coastline east of the lighthouse at St Marks. This is not an area I am familiar with but saw the thread and for those without the chip this is what it looks like. I am sure ...

I have never see scallops in Apalachicola Bay, and soon oysters will be rare or gone.

Re: Fryers
For years I have been frying my fish in the Waring Pro deep fryer. It is the best thing I have come across.

Right. And the visualizer program is free and gives you the option--that I took--of contributing something to the programmer via PayPal. Any amount.

Re: GPS coordinates
wetbandit, thanks for the link.https://mygeodata.cloud/converter/latlong-to-gpx.
I just tried it out on a Garmin file from 2002 and it worked great. I'm gonna have fun with this.
I also liked the one posted by STMU (https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input) It displays well in Google Earth Pro ...

Re: EPRIB or PLB?
Got my ACR 425 a couple of days ago from The GPS Store. It is now in the pocket of my PFD if I need it. Registration with NOAA was not too bad but you had to enter the data exactly as they wanted it or the site would kick you back a page. Once I put my glasses on it was a breeze. Glad you finally ...

Re: Strange new grass
Groovy!
And is this grass growing in situ, I'm sorry, in place, or did it float in from somewhere else? I like growing grass. So many of the areas I have fished in the last 50 years have lost the grass beds that were once common. Places like St Andrews Bay, East Bay, West Bay, and Apalachicola Bay ...

Re: Tackle trays
No trays. I use a large LL Bean soft tackle bag and I either leave my plastics in the packages they came in, or stuff 'em in a quart-size freezer bag according to brand and color and just throw 'em in the tackle bag. I can get a ton of product in my soft bag as Juan can testify.

Re: EPRIB or PLB?
What a great idea! Both look like good units, and Juan with your advanced age having something like that will give you greater peace of mind. I just put in a request to my book keeper for one of these.
