Re: Best spinning reels for 2018
I'm a big fan of the 13 fishing line up. I use them for both fresh and saltwater. these are the C's and I have the A's for salt. granted I still have the Ci4's in spinning because 13 didn't come out with a higher end spinning reel until just recently. IMG_5690.jpg I've casted the concept Z (the no ...

Re: MADFIN apparel Rod
Very nice! I received a GM casting rod from my wife for our anniversary last Sept. and took it on it's maiden voyage last weekend. Third cast of the day, I hook a decent ladyfish. As I lifted it into the boat, about 10 inches of the rod broke cleanly off. It's trash now. I'm going to replace it wit...

Re: MADFIN apparel Rod
If I had a rod like that, it'd be like when I bought my Browning rifle. Buddy said, "you'll enjoy hunting with that." I said, "this things too nice to take to the woods." :D haha, it did turn out pretty but, it was built for abuse and use! I'm hoping I receive a lot of pictures ...

Re: How do you fish for reds??
I believe you can honestly catch a Red off anything. as long as you present it in the right way and the conditions are right, they'll eat. can't go wrong with a Gold Spoon or a top water. if you can't "walk the Dog" getting a popping style bait. I would grab a Gold Spoon (aqua dream) cast ...

Re: Delacroix, LA
Looks like a blast! We have been talking about doing a trip for years and I have lots of friends that go with guides and have a blast. I would rather catch 20 reds a day that we find ourselves than 100 a day that a guide puts us on. Not a knock on guides, just what does it for me and the guys I fis...

Re: Rod recommendations to pair with a 6000series
Thanks everyone, I've got a couple of old ugly stiks I pair with some old black and gold penns. I've given those to people who don't fish much, they can't destroy them! Those Tiger sound good, but I noticed online that the guides are metal, not ceramic. I'm guessing they are zinc. Have y'all had is...
