Re: 2022 CCA STAR Tournament
I remember when you brought the fish in to West Marine. I can't believe that was five years ago.

Re: RiP Waviel...
Way back in 2008 the Backcountry took a good rock bashing to the 90 Ficht. It looked like a pretty bad hit, the skeg was about gone and a dime sized hole in the front of the lower unit. I took it to Waviel hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Waviel checked it out, and after a great amount ...

Re: Running From Mouth of St Marks River to Aucilla River flats
Re I am in agreement with Red Beard.
It doesn't take a rock much smaller than a soccer ball to ruin your lower unit or your day. These do not show up on maps. The best tool you have is your eyes.Although time consuming, several trips on a low tide exploring at low speed or idle speed is the way to ...

Re: St. Marks 1/13/02
Color didn't seem to matter too much as long it was presented slow. Our baits were smaller mirrodines and 3" soft plastics from the color white to natural mullet gray

Re: NFGFC 2022 INFORMATION
I noticed when reviewing our club rules _idle only until 30 minutes before sunrise". Is this new or has it always been that way ? I can't remember.mpa_72001 wrote: January 29th, 2022, 7:51 pm Yes there will be a meeting at bumpas where u can pay your membership and tournament fees plus raffles again.

Re: St. Marks 1/13/02
So you were in the St Marks river, or out on the creeks off the flats?
Sounds great
Stayed in the river and hit all the st marks feeder creeks. Some had lots of fish and some had a few, but almost every one of them had something. I'm surprised we didn't catch a flounder. We made it as far as ...

St. Marks 1/13/02
The boss let me have the morning off to go fishing, as long as I made it to work by 1300. It was 7AM, cold but clear and a slight wind, but not bad. Me and my buddy stayed in the river tossing various lures to include mirrodines and Paul Browns. We hit creek after creek on the rising tide. The ...

St Marks 12/31
The boss let me off of work at 11:00 and I already had the boat at work and hooked up ready to go. I got to the fort ramp around 11:25 and saw plenty of boaters coming in from the dense fog. After chatting with a few people who said that the bite was really off, I motored out at about 15 mph ...

St Marks 12/24
Got to the ramp around 7:15 am on a decent outgoing tide. It sure was a chilly ride out to the lighthouse, and I was glad I brought my thermos of coffee. I decided to head east and beat the outgoing tide to get into a few creeks. I threw mirrolures at the first spot which produced about a dozen ...
